Platform as a Service for DevOps
powered by Jelastic and operated by DOCKTERA
Why Jelastic PaaS? Because It's Easy!
Easy to Deploy
Deploy Java, PHP, Python, Node.js, Ruby, .NET, Go and Docker-based applications with no code changes using Docker, GIT, SVN, archives or integrated plugins like Maven, Ant, Eclipse, NetBeans and IntelliJ IDEA.
Easy to Scale
Set up the required triggers and the system will automatically scale your application vertically and horizontally during load spikes. The traffic is evenly distributed with load balancer across multiple instances.
Easy to Manage
Developers dashboard provides intuitive application topology wizard, deployment manager, access to log and config files, team collaboration functionality and integration with CI/CD tools.
Features of Jelastic PaaS:
Watch the video to find out the main benefits of Jelastic PaaS with the best industry UI for easy creation, scaling, clustering of microservices, traditional & legacy applications.
Jelastic PaaS is the first cloud computing platform which can host and scale any application. No code changes required. Magic. Jelastic is the next generation Java, PHP, Python, Node.js, Ruby, .NET and Go server hosting solution. Early generation cloud platforms required developers to manage virtual machines or purpose-build applications to work in the cloud.
Hosted in Amsterdam and Beyond!
Local Data Center
Jelastic PaaS is offered and hosted by DOCKTERA in its enterprise class data centers in Amsterdam.
Run applications in several hardware regions within a unified cloud experience.
Applications can be hosted on different clouds for advanced high availability.
Pay only for the resources you really consume!
What is charged and how?
Allocate exactly the needed amount of resources with a help of granular resource units (cloudlet is 128 MB of RAM and 400 MHz of CPU), automatic vertical and horizontal scaling. Watch the video how it works:
Estimate the price on a monthly, daily or hourly base. Track and optimize your cloud hosting expenses with built-in billing details for whole account or specific application. Watch the video how to track the spends:
"Configuring cloud infrastructures is fun the first time you do it. But it doesn't take too long before it becomes a tedious time sink. And, if you have the misfortune of being a software developer that has to fight it out with an IT organization, who usually wants consistency, control and visibility, you find that you're always fighting with them. Jelastic solves all of that. Easy configuration tools for developers, management tools for IT. Peace and productivity. I love it."
James GoslingFather of Java
"PHP has always been about making web development easy and accessible to everyone. Jelastic's approach to PaaS fits nicely with this mission and i am looking forward to helping them build more great products."
Rasmus LerdorfFounder of PHP
Frequently Asked Questions
What programming languages are supported by Jelastic PaaS?
The platform provides support of Java, PHP, Python, Node.js, Ruby, .NET and Go.
What application servers and database servers are supported?
Jelastic PaaS supports a wide range of software stacks, among them there are following:
| Application Servers|| Database Servers|
Does Jelastic PaaS support Docker containers?
Jelastic PaaS provides support of Docker containers with integration to Public and Private Hub Registries:
- Simple management via UI and CLI;
- Automatic vertical and horizontal scaling;
- High availability on application and hardware levels;
- High level of isolation;
- Container-native orchestration;
- Live migration across clouds.
How are applications deployed?
How are applications managed (via UI, CLI, SSH, IDE)?
Jelastic PaaS offers a self-service portal with an user-friendly UI. The developer dashboard includes an intuitive application topology wizard, a deployment manager, access to log and config files, a marketplace with prepackaged applications and functionality for team collaboration. CLI and SSH Gateway are available for direct access to containers. Integrated IDE plugins provide more options for application management: IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, NetBeans. An API is available for the automation of the development and deployment processes.
What is a cloudlet?
A cloudlet is a special measurement unit, which includes 128 MB of RAM and 400 MHz of CPU power simultaneously. There are two types of cloudlets at Jelastic PaaS:
- Reserved cloudlets – are reserved in advance and will be charged irrespective of your actual resource usage. In exchange, you’ll get significant automatic discounts based on their amount;
- Dynamic cloudlets – are added and removed automatically according to the amount of resources that is required by applications in a particular moment of time (assigned when load goes up and removed as soon as it drops down). As a result, you pay based on your actual resource usage.
The granularity of the cloudlets makes it possible to allocate a number of resources that precisely fits your current needs and will scale with your project respectively.
How are resources scaled?
Jelastic PaaS provides automatic vertical and horizontal scaling of resources, making hosting of applications truly flexible:
What is charged and how much does it cost?
Consumed resource units are charged on a hourly base (pay as you use pricing model):
- RAM and CPU (cloudlet);
- Disk space;
- External traffic;
- Public IP;
- SSL certificate.
